Updated with the new playoff rankings, including the 'well, we have to show how different we are from the polls' move of putting unbeaten ND with a win over #5 behind 1-loss LSU with a win over #6.

You should feel good about that....No team that was #3 in the first playoff rankings has ever won in the playoffs

I'm a little leery of what it might mean if ND loses a game (which I still think they're going to do at some point in November), but otherwise it's whatever. LSU will either be out of the race or be very deserving of their spot this time next week.

It will screw Michigan over that’s for sure so don’t lose

Michigan will make it if they win out and won't if they don't.

Yeah I think LSU loses this week and 1 of Michigan or OSU wins out and gets in and it’s Bama, Clemson, ND, Mich/OSU ultimately

Do not be surprised if Georgia beats BAMA in the SEC CG. No way BAMA is left out of a playoff, so that would be 2 SEC teams in.

I think if Oklahoma wins out they will get in over a one loss OSU.

Georgia beating BAMA in the SEC Championship game is exactly what everyone who wants an 8 or 16 team field should be hoping for.

Be very, very, very, very surprised if Georgia beats Bama.

It looks like sev eral Penn St players are wearing scarves

It looks like most of Penn State's players forgot there was a game today

So Northwestern is basically 2 games up in the Big Ten west with 3 to go. With Minnesota and Illinois still on their schedule there is a really good chance that Northwestern is playing Michigan or Ohio State in Indy

Edit: in fact because Wisconsin and Purdue still play each other, Northwestern needs to win one of their last 3 Big Ten games to clinch a spot in the game

Second Edit: nvm that would leave one of them with 2 losses meaning NW has to win 2 more

Wait, we're going to win a non-Rutgers Big 10 game?

I am as surprised as you. I had basically given up on Lovie after the Purdue game but 55 is pretty good.

Can’t believe how bad we lost to Maryland, though. They suuuuuuuck.

ND was so mad about being ranked behind LSU, largely for not killing weaker competition, that they immediately sucked against weak competition.

The committee is gonna put Michigan ahead of ND even if they win this game

Clemson, ND, and Michigan need to lose because none of them are anywhere close to being able to give Bama a game. Give me any combination of Georgia, Oklahoma, Ohio St, and UCF over all 3.

Ohio State won't even beat Michigan. They would lose by 50 to Alabama

OSU is not very good.....UCF? Come on!!!

Oklahoma and Georgia are not significantly better than Clemson, ND or Michigan.

Yeah, I only included them because they'd likely be the team that has to beat Michigan. But yeah, rather see UCF try to "Boise St" their way into an upset. OU and Georgia would have to have everything go perfectly to give Bama a fight, they are so horsefeathering good.
