https://theundefeated.com/features/why-jazz-kyle-korver-words-on-white-privilege-and-racism-matter/

It is very courageous of him,” Utah Jazz teammate Thabo Sefolosha told The Undefeated. “It is a thoughtful and sincere letter that speaks to everyone that believes in change. For him to show that being oblivious to the racial bias and then learning about it and wanting to make a change around him is powerful.

Kerr previously acknowledged to The Undefeated that it is important to have well-known and strong white voices speaking about race and social issues.

“There is no question the reaction to me saying exactly the same thing as a black athlete is taken a different way even if the words were exact,” Kerr said. “It is looked at differently. I think it is important for everybody to speak out if they feel comfortable doing so.”

Popovich has also previously told The Undefeated that most whites don’t understand the stress African Americans face daily. USA Basketball’s new head coach once called race issues in America “the elephant in the room.” He was also once pained to hear that his black assistant coaches had to talk to their children about properly dealing with the police, which is a talk he never had with his two kids.

“It’s easier for white people because we haven’t lived the experience,” Popovich once told The Undefeated. “It’s difficult for many white people to understand the day-to-day feeling that many black people have to deal with. I didn’t talk to my kids about how to act in front of a policeman when you get stopped.

“I didn’t have to do that. All of my black friends have done that. There’s something that’s wrong about that, and we all know that

Good follow-up piece to the Kyle Korver article on ESPN. I wish a white MLB player/coach had the courage to do this, but that's expecting too much I guess.

Umm, Westbrook... maybe don't wear such a dumb hat to the media session after your team just got eliminated?

that's your take away?

No, that's not my "take away" lol. Some people are so daft. Where did I ever say that was my main point or strongest observation? Dude, why do you even respond to my posts...

Yes, Russell Westbrook played poorly and Paul George was talking about the "bad shot" that was an incredible shot by Dame. Plenty of people have been talking about the series and the way Russell Westbrook plays and whether he needs to take fewer shots/be more of a pure PG for OKC to go further in the playoffs. Lots of good analysis out there on this series. I've already been discussing all that with friends and don't feel like talking about all that here.

I saw the dumb hat in the video and think maybe Russ should consider taking it off or maybe not wear it? Man, seriously some people here.

Bulls were very close to making the NBA finals without Jordan.

NBA has always been a top heavy league. How many times has there been a champion that wasn't one of the pre season top 4 teams? That random year the Pistons won is the only one I can think of.

Holy horsefeathers; what an ending to the Raptors/76ers Game 7.

Literally nothing the Sixers could have done better. Forced a terrible shot that had no business going in

the east is fun as heck and that's gotta be one of the coolest buzzer beaters ever

Yeah that was awesome, unfortunately I think the ECF (well and the WCF) are gonna be snoozers. Don’t think it takes the Warriors or Bucks more than 5 games to do their job.
