Was a wild game. The Raptors thought they had it won then GSW hits 3 consecutive 3's that barely move the net. Based on a picture I saw, Dreymond blocked that last shot. Sucks about Durant.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Warriors won but I still think Toronto will get it done. Last night, the Warriors made the second most 3's ever in a finals game (20) while shooting 47.6% from 3 and they needed Toronto to shoot 8-32 from 3. And they still only won by a point. Before he got hurt, Durant contributed to that by hitting all three of his 3's. I know I'm cherry picking one stat but the Warriors made 20+ 3's 7 times in 103 games this year while the Raps made 8 or fewer 3's in only 14 of 105 games.

 

Raps have won games by 9, 13 and 14 while the Warriors won two games by 6 points total.

 

Of course, the Warriors still do have Steph and Klay so it's entirely possible they combine for something like 13-27 from 3 in each of the next two games and the Warriors pull it out.

I'm pretty bummed out over their cancelling. It was an awesome show, and I've been watching them for close to a decade now back when it was called "The Basketball Jones". It's a shame NBATV decided to cut costs (it probably wasn't even that expensive a show to produce). It'd be awesome if some producer for Marquee Sports Network hired them to produce a baseball-centric version of The Starters. They're big baseball fans as well and Trey Kirby is from Chicago (I think he's a Sox fan though).

 

I'm sure they'll find a new home pretty fast and land on their feet. It's a highly entertaining show and a real shame it got cancelled.

Here's an idea: rather than stopping the clock and calling a technical foul when a team tries calling a time out when they don't have one, just ignore the time out signal and let the clock run

Congrats to the Raptors. They were the better team all series since Durant was out. They deserved it. Wish they would have won it at home though.

 

Hope Klay isn’t hurt too badly. It’s never good when the knee buckles to the side like his did, though it didn’t seem to be nearly as bad as some we’ve seen.

 

EDIT: So much for that. Klay tore his ACL.

So I get that while all the Webber comparisons are good and funny, Green wasn't the only one calling for a timeout (two other players and Kerr were all doing it, too), and it really was the only shot the Warriors had at that point of pulling of a miracle.

 

That said, what IS funny is I think that if the Warriors HAD pulled of a miracle and taken it to game 7, Green would have been suspended from playing because of the technical.
