Records to tie

Cubs / Brewers

1-0 / 1-0

0-1 / 0-1

Thanks for posting. I was gonna try to come up with the combinations myself, it gets a little confusing. This definitely helps.

And now fittingly, they conceivably could have to play Monday and Tuesday before either getting 1 precious day off despite having the best record in the NL after 162 or having 6 months off, despite having the best record in the NFL after 162.

Man, football has gotten REALLY bad. I don't know why any of you chumps are still watching it.

Cubs 2nd half days off:

July 30th- 12 games in previous 11 days, after being 1 of 2 teams not to get the extra day for the AS break

Aug 9th-

Aug 13th

Aug 20th

Sept 7th and 9th- did not play, but sat at the park for hours waiting to play games that never happened

Sept 20th- exactly a month between off days, stretch included a double-header, flying from Chicago to DC back to Chicago in a day

At this point, it would be a spite championship.

Don’t forget with that September 20th off day it came after a late night game in Arizona and the first game after the off day was a Day game - pretty much the shortest break you can possibly have with an off day.

I wonder if they make a rookie carry around this bag for Bryant.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. The hopes of winning the division on fire because of the shoulder of Bryant. I watched broken Baez bobbleheads glitter in the dark near the Wintrust Right Field Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."

"Time for the season to die."

In March 2016, Fangraphs gave the Cubs preseason odds of 81.8% to win the division. Since then, there has not been a single day when the Cubs were not the favored team to win the NL Central. Until today.

Cubs 49.4%, Brewers 50.6%

Even more incredible when you think that a mere 12 days ago, the Cubs were still 95.1% divisional favorites.

Kinda surprised the Doyers celebrated qualifying for the play in game when they can still win the division today. Would think holding on on boozing until they know for sure where they stand would have been the move.

Hopefully they at least have a roller bag. I wouldn’t want to risk injury to a rookie having to lift and carry a heavy load.

so root for dodgers today no matter what right? I want nothing to do with buehler in WC game.

Whatever scenario ends with a dodgers game 163 or the Cubs winning the division

Pretty sure if buehler pitches tomorrow, it would be Ross Stripling in the WC game
