there is nothing "magical" about baseball. what i mean by that is that the dead-in-the-ground cubs in the world series down 1-3 looked like they were helpless. except, they weren't.

 

there is nothing about the DET series for MIL that should indicate it's "expected" a sweep is apparent. Would I lay money they win 2 of 3? yeah, probably. but that's much more likely then them sweeping because "omg they will never lose again". it's baseball and even the worst teams still win a lot of games.

They have pulled the beat the good teams and lose to garbage lately. That rain delay in Pittsburgh with Nova pitching may have cost us.

Carl should be a one batter pitcher at this point. If he gets the guy out, don’t press your luck and yank him. If he walks the guy, take him out since he doesn’t have it.

If the Cubs lose tomorrow they will be in the Wild Card game. If the Cubs win tomorrow they will be playing the Brewers on Monday

 

I’d get blasted on here if I made this post.

 

Only because you'd add that we are super screwed because the Monday game would be rained out.
