It's interesting. I always sense you hate Almora the most and I hate Russell the most.

 

I think the big difference is, I didn't have huge expectations for Almora, so him sucking doesn't suck as much as Addison Russell being worse than a good hitting pitcher.

Russell absolutely has horsefeathering sucked this year, but we have heard he’s hurt and he has pedigree and has he good seasons already. Javy is the SS next year for sure, but Russell still plays defense at the highest level at the most important spot in baseball and every team needs a bench guy who can play SS. Almora just has never had a lot to fall back on other than hoping he kicks in to some BABIP luck.

I feel like we know Russell is a very good defender. Almora gets credit for these diving catches which he might have to make because he’s slow.
