it is all true. the current standings and the cubs likelihood of making the playoffs is just a current distraction. if we don't win the world series, it won't mean anything and we'll just be faced with the uncertainty surrounding darvish, bryant, rizzo, russell, contreras, hendricks, and quintana.

There is a flaw in the projection systems that doesn’t seem to be picking up on that without Bryant and Darvish and with Rizzo kinda meh and with Lester, Hendricks and Quintana varying degrees of bad, this is actually a bad baseball team.

 

Rizzo’s been 2014-17 Rizzo since April minus like 30 points of SLG.
