How long until we stop making excuses for pitchers and say it’s the ball when they give up homers that barely get out? It’s the same for every team every day and it’s been like this for a couple years now. It’s just the ball at this point. It’s not like the wind which varies day by day.

 

Not complaining about you specifically but just a general statement about the ball in general.

For sure. It was horsefeathering stupid. Chatwood and who knows coming up. Q was fine and gave up a pop-up homer and then a run scored because an ump and Ian Happ are both blind. Horrible decision.

When it's the ball and wind working in tandem, it's incredibly frustrating. Before a juiced ball there was already somewhat of a thin line between lucky homer and lazy fly out. Add in a juiced ball and now stupid horsefeathers is happening way too much. Bryce Harper literally threw his bat down in frustration on a homer with the wind blowing out last year.
