What is a great "played out" joke?

I've never heard of a joke being played out

(posted just below a gif from an arrested development episode that is several years old and only tangentially related to the quoted post it was ostensibly making fun of)

Jed was on the Score this morning and it sure sounded like Yu might have a 2nd rehab start? I was half listening while driving thru the Great Flood of 2018 on the way to work.

When and where did he say that?

 

In some LA article. Also said he was worried about having to pitch at Dodger Stadium in this series because of the booing and something about expecting the booing to be even worse if he pitches in a playoff game in this postseason. Is keeping a low profile at the park during the games and staying in the clubhouse

Eh, just seems like him being open and honest about stuff and owning some of the reason for the WS loss. It seems like human nature to me in the spot he’s in to be keeping a low profile from fans during games. Like he knows he’ll hear horsefeathers, why go out of your way to hear it when you’re really just there to hang out anyways since he’s on the DL.
