To be perfectly honest they don't seem very delusional as a whole to me.

 

They're seeing things through brewer-tainted glasses just like we are with the cubs. Most of that chunk there was pretty reasonable and thought out. Even the parts where they were discussing their hopes to catch the Cubs were presented more as outside chances (which is accurate) than declarative expectations.

 

The Brewers currently project to finish 17 games behind the Cubs (it probably gets a win or two better with more realistic playing time estimates). That's not Cubs-tainted glasses. That's an unbiased (Steamer, in this case, I think?) projection system. They are not talking about either team like fans of a team projected to be 17 games worse than the Cubs.

 

People think they are adding to an 86 win team, but they're really not.

 

Let's just hope they don't find out about the power of Mad Men gifs.

I was looking at the non-Yelich/non-Cain portions of their lineup and yeeeeesh. I guess I didn't really realize it was that bad, and none of the projections seem to stand out as being egregiously pessimistic.

Initially I thought that said "tail lights ready" as in the Cubs were now about to be behind them.

 

I fully endorse all NL Central teams trash talking the Cubs this offseason.
