is this not where we talk about the tennessee AD getting canned, or did I miss it?

this is hysterical

Nah this is the OMC talks about Ole Miss thread.

my bad. An SEC school just blown to kingdom come by the NCAA. Guess that isn't significant enough to discuss in a college football thread.

Let that be a lesson to any school when the NCAA shows up: do what Auburn and others have done, give them the double birds and tell them to eff off.

UNC should have ended any cooperation with the NCAA. Just make up some garbage ex post facto reasoning for what happened (even if it conflicts with things you've already said) and you're golden.

Isn't that what they did?

You just said their punishment is basically over after next year, and they self-imposed most of it.

I thought I saw the same thing but I don't know what's happening here.

Sorry, I meant the UNC case and how it played out should have ended anyone cooperating with the NCAA. Yes, that's exactly what they did and they got away with it.

Sounds like those reports came from FSU people that were too arrogant to think he wouldn’t leave.

I have no reason to believe either side

Ohio State over Alabama if it comes to that right? Committee has shown over and over that good wins trump everything else, and that's the Buckeyes' biggest advantage in a head to head comparison.

Hard to say. Wins over PSU, Wisconsin and MSU in their favor, but 31 point loss to Iowa should count against them. On the other hand, Bama didn't beat anyone terribly great (MSST, LSU), and they should (but never are) be penalized for playing FCS schools

Can look at the schedules and what not but just watching Bama and OSU play both a few times this year they seem pretty close talent wise from the “eye test.” I’m not going to think either team got screwed or really deserved this last spot more than the other.

All of those OSU wins were at home. Best team they even played on the road was Michigan. Bama's best road win was Miss St so it's not like that is a whole lot better.

But it really comes down to better wins and a conference title vs worse (and one more) losses. I think Bama is a better team and I'd lean towards putting them in because I can't get over OSU getting demolished by Iowa. But they're pretty close and I won't really care either way who gets left out.

Wisconsin is a neutral site, but point taken.

I think OSU could make it in but get their teeth kicked in again like last year. I don't think they're as good as Clemson, and Oklahoma already beat them (in Columbus)
