Not looking good for the Celtics. Kyrie is going to get a procedure done on his left knee. No timetable for his return. They're describing it as "minimally invasive" but that's still concerning for them.

I wonder how far the Raptors could go if injuries decimate Boston, and the Cavs keep playing shitty defense.

Kyrie is done. Go Raptors. A finals game in Canada would be cool

Lebron is gonna snake his way to another finals with that dog horsefeathers defense, isn’t he

I am an NBA idiot and biased as a nominal Cavs fan, but LeBron was always gonna make it out of the East. Maybe with Kyrie and Heyward the Celtics would do it, definitely not with neither. Toronto's '15 guys averaging 20 minutes a game' depth isn't gonna do much in the crucible of a playoff series.

Generally agree but this isn’t a typical Lebron Cavs team, their defense is truly awful and they don’t have another all-star like he’s always had. They are or were vulnerable, the Celtics could’ve beat team I feel like at full strength and the rest of the East just sucks too much to take advantage. Agree 100% with you on the Raptors they’re built for the regular season with their depth but that gets largely marginalized in the playoffs

Definitely a more vulnerable Cavs team, but since the trade deadline and with them getting healthy they still look real good. They're 7-0 with Love in the lineup since those trades, including 2 wins over Toronto and 2 more over teams in playoff position.

Cavs vs Warriors 4 is gonna suck real bad

We all know the "real" NBA Finals will be Rockets v Warriors in the WCF. I hope the Warriors are fully healthy by that point.

The Cavs will probably advance to the Finals, but this might be their last rodeo. I think Lebron is leaving (I have no clue where) 'The Land' again...

It's not going to happen but it's possible that we get a 6 way tie for the 4 through 9 spots in the West. Right now there are 5 teams with 45 wins and the other has 46.

Utah: loses @ LAL, vs. GS, @ Por

NO: loses @ GS, @ LAC and wins vs SA

SA: loses vs Por, wins vs Sac, loses @ NO

OKC: loses @ Hou, loses @ Mia, wins vs Mem

Min: wins vs Mem, loses vs Den

Den: loses vs Port, wins @ Min

There are a couple results you could swap with the two H2H games (SA-NO and Min-Den) but that makes the results less likely. But it's not like we would need these teams to lose games to any of the tanking teams. The biggest upset in the bunch is probably Utah losing at the Lakers.

On a related note, the NBA should have an actual tiebreaker game if two or more teams are tied for the 8 seed. If both teams are making the playoffs, just use the tiebreakers. But if it's deciding who is in and who is out, just have a play-in game with the home team being determined by the tiebreaker. This isn't football where the players need a week to recover from a game. Season ends Wednesday, have the play-in game on Friday and the 1-8 series starts Sunday. End the season a day earlier if need be to give yourself time to play game or games.

I saw a crazy note on Twitter today. Ben Simmons has not made a 3 pointer in a game since High School/AAU. Didn’t make one at LSU and hasn’t made one in the NBA. That seems impossible for a guy who has the ball in his hands so often, you'd think he would've had to shoot and make one with the shot clock running down or something playing point guard.

I think I heard that most of the 11 threes he’s taken this year have been end of the quarter half court heaves. He’s not even taking many end of the shot clock threes.

Yeah he hasn't taken many but still so odd that a PG literally hasn't made one, you'd think the situation would find him on a clock running down situation or just a ball being rotated back or kicked out to him that he'd be wide open to take one and one would fall.

Yeah, it is odd. I just watched all his 3's attempted this year. Only 3 of them have been in the frontcourt. Two of those were end of quarter on the dead run, and the other one was where the ball got knocked back into the backcourt and was recovered there with 4 seconds left on the shot clock and Simmons had to just advance it as far as he could and then launch at the shotclock buzzer.

He really hasn't taken a traditional 3 point attempt all season.

is lebron the best of all time?

I'm glad you're asking cause...

MJ is the best of all time. The GOAT. Lebron might have been a better athlete when both were in their respective primes, but I'll take MJ every time when asked this question.

LeBron is ridiculous, and he's treating the Raptors like Jordan treated the Knicks and Pacers. Toronto will never get past him
