Friend just forwarded an image from the rule book. Wieters was right. Javy should’ve been out on the dropped third strike.

Why?

Not afraid of Scherzer here. We're gonna eff him up. This will backfire on Dusty.

Ahem.

Between this and your Dusty Mad Men gif you are on pace for Poster of the Day

Based on?

His backswing hitting Wieters. Let me try to post the image from my phone.

I have to imagine Joe is thinking 8 & 9 for Wade

Jose Quintana for something like 6-7-8 as a bridge to Wade Davis?

3-run lead, I think you have to save Quintana and hope your pen can hold it. If the game gets any closer before you're comfortable with Davis finishing it out, then bring in Q.

I'm pretty sure there's umpire judgement involved in the rule.

Strop should be good for the 6th

Yeah, I think so too as well. Who would be warming up in case if Strop struggles?

Yeah, Strop got out of this without any issues, so I'd be comfortable going with him as long as he can, but I agree with you on that assessment.
