You guys have to stop talking about the NLCS rotation.

Trust the process, dude. It’s like when you are fishing and running low on bait then you catch a fish with a crawler that you knew was too big to put on the hook but the fish ate none of it so you can now rip that crawler in to 3 pieces and suddenly you have too much bait.

Live in the moment.

Well, mojo, it took Mother Nature to overcome the power of Mad Men, but on the plus side...

Ahahahahahaah! You win.

Seriously, though, congrats. I'm happy for you. I've turned into a bit of a fatty myself and I've just begun the process of trying to knock off some 50-75 pounds.

Yea, skipping Roark was a god send

Did we ever find out who said no to a 1pm start yesterday? I saw TBS said it wasn't them but didn't see anything else.

Q likely won't be available if the Cubs advance.

Hendricks is going 7 so......

But yeah, if they use Q tomorrow I'd imagine that would put Montgomery in line to start Game 1 unless they do something stupid like go with Lackey.

Maddon won't trust Hendricks to go 7. He didn't trust Hendricks to go 5, up 5-1 in Game 7 of the World Series.

Eh. If he's pitching like he did in Game 1 he will. Or like Game 6 in the NLCS last year.

Torre made it seem like it was MLB's call, but they had to consider TBS and TBS did't want a 1 PM start.

Dude, I'm telling you, ask your doctor about Ideal Protein. horsefeathers is a lock to work and is much faster and more productive than most other diets:

Someone start the game 5 thread. I want to talk about how badly we are going to crush them tomorrow so Nats fans visiting for schadenfreude have an experience similar to the end of the Grinch that Stole Christmas

Wow Cubs are favorites tomorrow -135. I thought maybe even money

We definitely have the pitching matchup no matter who they throw.

Is tree starting the Game 5 thread?

Andy went 9-3 this year, I say roll with him. If it was UMFan's 8-8, different story (sorry UMFan).

I mean the last time I started the Cubs went on a 6 game winning streak to turn around their season but w/e

The only thing that has really disappointed me has been the defensive lapses. I expected runs would be at a premium, and the Nats caught a huge beak with the rainout.

sale, kluber, kershaw, and grienke gave all been knocked around this postseason. 8 runs in 4 games is disappointing. it's hard for me to care too much about the rainout when we got the massive scherzer break to begin with.

oh well, if we do end up losing, I guess it's easier to swallow this way instead of heartbreaking losses

What massive Scherzer break? One of Strasburg/Scherzer was going to start twice and the other once and that's what happened. Plus Scherzer absolutely dominated in his start and should be available out of the pen in game 5. And Strasburg dominated in both his starts so it's not like you can say the Nats would be better off with Max starting twice instead.

The ability of the Nats to start Gio a second time instead of Tanner Roark, by far the worst starter on either team, was a dramatic break for Washington

ehh, scherzer is better than strasburg. 2 starts of stras instead is 2 scherzer starts seems much more favorable to me. and despite only giving up 1 hit, i wouldn't call scherzer's game 3 "absolutely dominant", at least not by his standards. 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. he was vulnerable.

I'm not raging or anything. winning the central made this an acceptable title defense to me. I just don't want to see people complaining about the rainout all offseason if the cubs lose. you face great pitching in the postseason. the cubs need to hit better.

FS1 just said Scherzer is pitching tomorrow, is that true?

I wish

They literally just had the graphic up showing Hendricks vs Scherzer ...

Twitter is going crazy about too but only based on FS1 saying it. Even if he did start he couldn't go more than like 3 innings
