Just saw on BN that Quintana is throwing a sim game on Wed with Arrieta. That has to mean Lester gets one of the first two games.

Hendricks-Lester-Q-Arrieta would be my guess at the rotation

Possibly, but Q throwing a few innings of a sim game on Wednesday after 80 pitches on Friday doesn't really preclude him from starting Game 2 the next Saturday. With Lester looking mostly back to normal the past 2 starts, I would probably bet on him in Game 2 though.

any idea when we find out when the games will start? Really hope for night game Friday and day game Sat

No idea when announced but I bet we get the 2nd game Friday (so like 3:45-4:15) and the early game Saturday so like ~4:30.

Was thinking maybe Doyers get an early spot ...nobody watches as it is so bury it

If they were to do that, it would force a team that plays in Central or Eastern time zone to play a game that starts at 9 or 10 pm local time because the Dodgers and the NL WC winner will be the only 2 teams that play in Mountain or Pacific time

Scherzer's MRI came back as minor hamstring tweak. Not expected to miss anytime.

Not that I root for injuries but the optimal scenario is Scherzer goes game 1, retweeks his hammy and gives up several runs trying to pitch through it and then is unavailable the rest of the series leaving Edwin Jackson lined up for a potential game 5 start

I agree this is what it should be and Maddon usually gets this stuff right.

I trust Hendricks the most and arrieta the least at this point. I could go either way with Lester and q. Personally I'd go with Q. I guess Lester has been good the last few and has the track record. I'd feel better about him if he could throw to a damn base.

This was my least favorite match-up, but then again, there are only a handful of teams, and well, this has been the expected match-up for awhile now.

Around mid-season, I wouldn't have given us much of a chance, but the Cubs are probably heading into the post-season in as good a spot as possible. Yet, the Nationals probably have the advantage in the starting rotation, their lineup is arguably deeper and a bit more balanced, and well, heck, I'm not so sure I wouldn't take the rest of the Nationals pen over the Cubs, outside of the closer spot. Tanner Roark had a strong 2nd half, so it's not likely that Dusty will force feed Strasburg and Scherzer for 2 starts a piece. On paper, I just think the Nationals are the better team.

Despite all that ... can't help but I think we've got a shot. I think this goes 5. If I had to make a pick now, I'd probably go with Strasburg in a decider, much as it hurts.

Key to the series: Jason Heyward? Has hit a combined 19-48 with 6 XBH against Scherzer and Strasburg. .396/.434/.563/.997 in 53 PA (41 vs. Scherzer and 12 vs. Strasburg)

I'm nervous like I always am when the Cubs are in the playoffs but it is so much different than in years past. Nothing can hurt me now, I actually feel confident and if we lose then whatever, go get 'em next year.

In 2003 I was so heartbroken I didn't watch 1 second of that world series, same with 2008. Win or lose I'm sure I'll consume every second I can of these playoffs. They should be great; obviously I want us to win but I think this is the Tribe's year.

Does anyone know if the radio feeds for the postseason are included with the normal MLB.TV subscription or if you need the Postseason TV for that? I won't be able to watch on Friday so I'm trying to figure out my streaming options.

I believe they are. I remember listening to a game last year. You can also use International VPN or a service like delocator to watch the game.
