Quintana should not suck, and if he doesn't, he might pitch well. This could enable the Cubs the not lose and possibly win. Not sucking should definitely be part of his approach tomorrow.

Just a little note, but BaseRuns and Pythag think we should have about 3 more wins. BP's 2nd and 3rd order wins think we should have 5-6 more wins.

And that's after we legitimately put up middling stats for the first half of the season -- which was incredibly fluky. Even still, we've been better than our record shows.

Yeah it's time to rip off like 12 of 15 and wrap up this division

I was just thinking the same. Put these clowns out of their misery.

Brewers should have about 3 more losses than they do while the Cardinals about 3 more wins.

Cubs win today and the Brewers-Cardinals go 67 innings.

I'd like to see Quintana have at least one more badass start like his debut before the playoffs, just to make myself feel better about him being the #4. (Although I guess he might be #3 to break up the lefties.)

Is it fair to call Q a 4/5 starter?

Kind of a weird time to complain about this, allowed a bloop hit and a ground ball that hit him that could've been fielded if it doesn't hit him or gets a little lucky on the bounce

Anyone else having issues with MLB.TV? It just sits there and spins and spins but never connects to the stream

Working fine for me through my XBOX

just turned this on to hear JD say "the key is not to get concerned because stuff wise he looks fine tonight" right after he hits a guy with the bases loaded

so has this all been on flukey garbage or something?

Pretty much. He's hitting 94. Struck out first batter, then Gatorade boy blooped one in, in front of Heyward then McCutchen hit one back off him not overly hard that Happ could've fielded if it doesn't hit him but instead it took a bad bounce and nobody got out, then he K'd Bell, gave up a hard hit to Freese for a run then the 2 0-2 HBPs. More bad luck/sequencing for him mostly
