7/30 World Champion and First Place Cubs (Lackey) at Brewers (Davies) 1:10 CSN, TBS

In my first career game thread I made some promises..

Cubs would give up way less runs than the Brewers. They didn't give up "way" but they gave up less. I said the Cubs would score 7 runs and stay in first place, well they didn't even get 6 hits...but we are still in first!!

 

Now you may be thinking that it wasn't a good showing for me...but I provided some unlikely results. First a HLS hit and rbi by Kris Bryant, he got one last Saturday too but that doesn't fit the storyline. Then in the place of his first Cub homer (the night before the birth of my daughter) Heyward sent a rocket over the wall for the potential game winning homer!!

 

Now can I pull out another unlikely result, a relaxing Lackey outing with a win?? Come on John I need you..or do you need me??

Zo is by far our best hitter at avoiding strikeouts sonof course after Maddon complains about bad approach and too many Ks he strikes out in his first 2 AB
