I was trying to come up with a reason to the question you asked. And I couldn't come up with one. The best I could do is that players either think they don't look cool or that it makes them uncomfortable because they aren't used to them.

 

Either one is a lame reason. So, yes, put them on.

Pitchers don't want to protect their brains because the Great Gazoo hat looks dumb.

 

When you are pitching, hitting, or fielding I can understand not wanting to add anything that isn't 100% comfortable. They are running the base so who gives a horsefeathers.

 

Anyway Boras already texted Kris and told him to put the gloves on.

Sure it would be nice to have an upgrade over our 6th or 7th best relief pitcher but I mean Grimm is fine for what he is. He's shown flashes this year of being good, just have to try and manage the leverage/importance of situations he comes in on.
