What's the season record for most innings allowing at least 1 run in the first inning of a game?

Cubs have to be on pace to break it

First inning ERA was down to 7.74 coming into today so progress I guess.

Rizzo is gonna log a couple of games worth of second base as a lefty, which will confuse the heck out of some people who look back at his career.

Rizzo on a hot streak is so much fun to watch. Seems like he makes good contact or draws a walk every time up

This made me realize that one of my favorite baseball trivia questions has a new answer. Don Mattingly was the last left-handed throwing player to play second in a major league game. Billy Martin played him there -- and Ron Guidry in centerfield -- after the resumption of the Pine Tar Game.

I don't believe so. I think it was in the 9th inning when the pine tar incident happened.
