Watching this Cardinals team makes me think that perhaps...defense is important

they should go out and sign a few guys who know how to catch the ball

What a thrill it must have been for Jon Jay to leave the lowly Padres and their cavern out there to play for the World Champion Chicago Cubs.

it's amazing how ridiculously attractive he is when he puts on a baseball uniform these days. he used to be ugly as horsefeathers

These early regular season games feeling like rewatching one of your favorite movies. You can better appreciate the nuance, depth and craft. The urgency and surprise isn't the same though.

 

That said, I'm already sad we're just down to 159 regular season games after this.
