you're right, sorry. i remember wondering how you could be so optimistic when our offense went scoreless for an eternity against the dodgers.

Hahahahhahahahahahahahaha. So I bet a friend of mine who is a huge Indians fan for a bottle of liquor ($50 or less) on whoever would win this series before game 1 and he already said he won't get me anything because he "didn't" agree to it even though 2 of our friends were there and videotaped of the whole deal.

Going beyond the 108 years...

The Cubs were probably the best team at the end of the 2015 season. The Cubs won the offseason (though Heyward obviously didn't work out as they hoped), and they went into this season as the favorites. Everyone was picking the Cubs to win a ton of games. And what happened? They lived up to expectations, going out and winning 103 games and were 8.5 games better than anyone else in the majors. Going into the playoffs, everyone picked the Cubs to win, with the whole playoffs caveat. And then they went out and did it.

This team lived up to everything people hoped they'd be. And that's so rare in baseball, especially in the postseason.

The more I think about it, the happier I am at the way this all played out. All the drama just seems fitting.

More importantly, with Chapman blowing the save the Cubs were able to win the WS with somebody who (presumably) isn't an awful person on the mound. I'll always remember how that game ended, and I'm glad not to have a domestic abuser playing the hero for the Cubs.

Worst time in OH pro sports since the Bengals had their Super Bowl slip away courtesy Joe Montana.

that's an even better deal for you. now you can troll him constantly about blowing the 3-1 lead without feeling bad about it.

Yup.

Just wish Rossy was out there for the last out, but a Bryzzo out will have to do.

I hope the front office goes with the first pitch for Bartman thing.

I'd also love to have Alex S. Gonzalez woke up with a charred goat's head next to him

in bed... but maybe with rose petals around it something. (It's a fun daydream anyway.)

The Bartman stuff was so sickening to keep hearing. But now, bring him back and give him lifetime season tickets and probably a hush-hush TD Ameritrade account with a few million to make up for the decade+ of suffering.

Yeah, Ted Cruz -- er, Tom Ricketts can afford it.

It's al lover now. Bartman, the goat, all of it. It's hard to comprehend. And it's glorious.
