I went to game 5 wearing a Rizzo Shirsey, Cubs Hoodie and my Cubs hat. I wore them for games 6 and 7 even though it was burning me up in the house. You are all welcome :lol:

I work with a couple of Clevelanders who are big time Indians fans. I almost don't want to go to work tomorrow because they have to be devastated, and they're good friends of mine.

Are they Cavs fans also? If so, then they'll survive.

This was the greatest baseball game of my life. I started watching the Cubs in 1971 as a 10 year old boy. I watched Ernie hit his 500th home run called by Jack Brickhouse. I watched the terrible years of the 70's. I was crushed when we couldn't beat the Padres, and the Giants, and the Marlins....and every damn team in between.

 

But this....this is what we've all been dreaming about. This is what we've been waiting for. No more waiting people. We are the World Champions and we lived to see it.

 

Thank you 2016 Chicago Cubs for giving us one great season of joy to put all the other failures behind us forever.

My first post... been here at least 10 years. Was on the phone with my dad for the final out. Absolutely incredible.
