I think the point is he need to not swing at them, or learn to compact his swing enough the foul them off. He's just up there swinging for the world

 

I'm not sure that swing will ever shorten up.

 

 

Then learn to recognize it early and hit it out in front of the plate, not at the middle like he's trying. That way, worse thing is you foul it off
