Holy horsefeathers this is still sinking in. Like I don't even know what to do with myself right now. I grew up a Cubs fan in Oklahoma because i would visit my grandparents for long stretches in the summer and me and my grandpa would watch games every day at 1 oclock. Now here we are. Im numb as hell. Will anyone sleep?

I'll be there for at least one of the games next week. Can't wait, even though if tonight is any indication I might spontaneously combust before then.

Will anyone sleep?

I'll eventually pass out.

Same. But it'll be awhile (and a lot of drinks) from now

Oh yes

"The same (atmosphere) we had in Game 1 and 2," Gonzalez said. "They can't put any more people in the stands. They can only put in so many people."

Some of us will most likely be up until 3 hours later with the adrenaline still running. Speaking from experience.

Eventually some of us will finally pass out pitch black drunk or just sheer exhaustion.

Can't say it hurt because it does, but nevertheless, congrats Cubbies. Congrats to you, your fans, and the whole city. The better team won this series. Good luck as you continue your quest to bring home that elusive WS title. Give 'em hell and bring that WS back to the National League.

My 18 years of fandom is nothing compared to plenty but on the flipside, I care so much it's probably worth more than that. The Chicago Cubs being in the World Series is the best thing I've ever experienced in sports. The fact that I'm seeing something that so many haven't is soooooo surreal to me. Right now just being there feels so good but in two days I'll be ready to get going again. To win this would be....I don't know....the best. I'm not sure I can follow sports the same if we do and that's a good thing because I'm a weirdo.

I remember in 97 when I was 12 years old, after the cubs started the season losing 14 straight, trying to figure out the pace they would have to play to win the division.

I remember being a little kid having the stomach flu barfing my guts out and listening to the Cubs game and Sandberg hitting 2 home runs.

I remember growing up going to Cincinnati to watch Cubs games and seeing them get their asses kicked every time I went, but always begging my dad to stay for the whole game.

I remember finally getting to see a game at Wrigley field, not believing that I was actually watching Sammy Sosa in person. I remember being so bummed that I never got to go to a game before Sandberg retired, and then being blown away that he just happened to be singing the 7th inning stretch my first game at wrigley.

This is so awesome.

That whats I'm talking about! What a great series. I'm very very happy :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

In advance Happy Birthday Andy !!!

I'm soooo jealous. Hope all of you have a great time in wrigley field... I was in Chicago last November... too late... Make some pictures and post them here that I have something to pray to

I just woke up from my couch. I couldn't tell if I just had the most believable dream, or if this really happened. I'm still in a fog of disbelief.

Holy horsefeathers. Holy holy holy horsefeathers.
