Hopefully this is one of those "first time around the order" things.

We have 162 games of data that shows the Cubs struggle against the curve. It's not going to suddenly change unless Rich Hill loses it at some point.

it means little, but Hill got 5 strikeouts and a tapper back to him in the first innings of his 2 NLDS starts, no baserunners. Still gave up 5 runs in 7 innings.

I'm not negative. Hill is just not a good matchup for us and the people dismissing him because he sucked in a game for us nine years ago are being dumb.

 

Jake will do work for us. I'm just not as confident as many that we're pounding Hill tonight.
