For example, literally ANY other team would have forced a punt by now.

Im certain that other teams make stops on 3rd down.

They will lick their way into like 2-3 wins

I see 5 winnable games. Unfortunately 3 of them are the next 3 (v. Detroit, @ Indy, v. Jacksonville ) when the Bears are extremely banged up. But they should win 1 of those.

Then in late November they have a 2 game homestand against Tennessee and SF. They should win 1 or both of those.

Outside of that I have no idea

George Halas founded the league, you mooks. The league.

Only the Bears get that penalty. Only the horsefeathering Bears.

Has a team ever gone through a regular season without getting a turnover?

Only the Bears get that penalty. Only the [expletive] Bears.

Can't do anything right.

It was a ballsy call and well-executed. They did it right, but nothing good ever happens for them.

As dumb as this sounds and as pointless as this is....I feel like the Bears are right there on every play today, all year really. I feel like every 1st down against them has been the other team getting just past the marker. Every TD has been just barely in the endzone. Coverage has generally been pretty good. Getting a lot of people in the right places on defense. And on offense, it's the opposite. Just short of 1st downs. Just tripped up to keep them away from bigger gains. Throws just a tad off the mark. Other than Bobby Massie, Jeremy Langford, and Kevin White (2 of which clearly have a shot of getting much better) I can't say anyone on the team has been flat out bad. Which I guess is an improvement over last year when several players on the field were bad.

Refs dont just reconsider holding calls against any other team except the Bears opponents.

How does this work?

Ref 1: throws flag for holding

Ref 2: nah, that wasn't holding

Ref 1: OK

"After discussion, there was no holding on the play." The guy threw the flag for no apparent reason, I guess.

It's absolutely outrageous how bad the Bears fortunes are.

On any other team, their players are NFL players and their coaches are NFL coaches. It's gotta be the franchise.

Never mind the fact that Witten was obviously holding his jersey.

If it took Dallas more than 2 plays per first down maybe this would be meaningful, but the reality is they are not even close to being in this game. They are getting manhandled in every facet and on every play.

He looks ok. Like your average backup, i guess. Better than Claussen.
