I don't watch spring training but I gotta imagine when they blow a lead during such games it feels like this meaningless game.

This is very original and not at all getting grating.

 

Grating. Seems like a good word to describe something else I am thinking of, but I can't put my finger on it.

Again just very fitting as this is the exact same thing that happened 2 weeks ago to Seattle.

 

Splitting a series at home sucks but whatever. Still time to come back and win this one

 

I have to read this to myself a bunch and take some deep breaths. These last two games don't matter at all. Splitting the series is all the work we needed to do.

 

Blowing 2 two run leads in a row really sucks though. It really, really sucks.

 

I get it. I'm annoyed as hell too. Sucks to get great starting pitching 4 straight nights only to blow 2 late leads and split the series

Everyone be careful if you're on the roads tonight. The cardinals have a day off tomorrow and potentially reason to celebrate.

If we get two run leads every single game, like we have for, oh, two straight weeks, eventually you are going to blow some. You are going to hold on a lot more often. But it happens. Our losses are going to be more devastating, because we are so good. We just don't get pummeled (except for that weird stretch pre-All Star Break). So nearly all of our losses are going to seem like games we should have won -- because we should have, since we are awesome.

Just do the RD thing in the playoffs and we are good

guys this game is meaningless and joe doesn't give a horsefeathers about bringing in chapman in the 7th to ensure a win or whatever. i think he's far more interested in testing the lesser-proven guys right now than trying to win 105 games instead of 104
