god this game is pissing me off

why the [expletive] can't that ball just go out, or why can't that happen with 2 outs so coghlan scores easily?

Right. Now Lester is up with a runner on 3rd and 1 out. Bad luck

To add on to that. If Strop and Rondon are healthy, maybe you consider pulling Lester here, but with the situation as it is there's no way you can justify so you have to let him take the at bat.

Safe or not Coghlan is a moron.

Seriously. That's some of the worst base running I've seen all year

He went to tag in case the ball was caught.

It took the ball hitting the underside of the basket to not be either a flyout or a HR. Tagging is the percentage play there, and makes a big difference considering the gap in man on 1st, 2 out, and man on 2nd, 2 out.

I swear there is a statistically significant amount of [expletive] that occurs when we play the Cards.

I agree, the game threads are significantly more shitty when the Cubs play the Cards.

Please explain what you possibly thinks qualifies in this very, very boring 1-0 game.

Or With the pitcher due up, and a notoriously bad hitting one at that, he coould've just stayed halfway and waited for the result instead of assuming a ball that was still being tracked at the warning track would be caught.

I'd chance a 1-1 tie over 2 outs and a runner on 2nd with the pitcher up 11 times out of 10
