The level of Montero hate has confused me. He's not having a good year, but putting him in platoon advantage situations and letting him frame for Hendricks is a good idea.

People need their whipping boys, I mean, look at Rondon Fan and this board

I like Rondon Fan for the record

With LaStella back now, I wonder if they'd make something up to put Zobrist on the DL to get him a break for when Soler/Fowler come back and go with a Baez/Seal Boy platoon for 2 weeks?

His best current skill (pitch framing) is the one that's hardest to pick up when watching the game. Even all the walks don't really do a lot aesthetically.

That being said, if you would have told me in April that people would prefer Ross to Montero, I'd have thought you were crazy.

It's not just the hitting, his throwing is a mess too. Framing is basically the only thing he's doing well. So I guess it depends on exactly how much you value that.

I was joking. I don't "hate" him. But somebody has to be the Macias, Neifi, Herrera on the team.

Question: Is Kris Bryant slower to first this season?

No? He seems to beat out a ton of balls, especially balls that appear to be double plays
