This Billy Hamilton thing against the Cubs is the worst thing

I feel like Joe never went with his top relievers for more than an inning until one day he did and now does it all the time. Sign of him evolving as a manager or sign he's petrified to use anyone else in a close game?

I don't care that he's somewhat getting results, Javy is [expletive] terrible at the plate

Even if he never grows he'll have value as an elite defensive player around the mount and he'll run into double digit homers and enough hits from natural talent alone

 

But his approach is endlessly frustrating it's true

I feel like you can see he's making attempts to change. Hopefully the light clicks and he really takes off. But, if he doesn't, like you stated, he still is super valuable.

 

 

Yeah, you can tell that's he's starting to develop an approach, but you have to maintain discipline. Hopefully he can, he's the most fun player ever when he's on.

Good move. You don't want to run the risk of a backdoor cutter catching too much plate. Hector will keep it in the yard.
