We must lead the league in 7-9th inning runs allowed.

Apparently you aren't aware of the Reds current bullpen world record.

leading the league in that department, meaning they are the best at it, meaning they have given up the fewest.

2.26 ERA in 7+ does in fact lead the NL.

Only winning by two feels kinda empty. Dammit Grimm.

i'm really pretty damn annoyed. two should be blowouts turned into human looking wins.

This is what it has come to. "We dominated for most of the game, but not quite all of it. Now I feel like horsefeathers."

I'm pretty sure the Reds lead the league in every measure of bullpen ineptitude.

The difference between the Reds with the most 7-9th inn. runs allowed and the team with the second most is 25. (Reds - 76; Padres - 51)

The difference between the second most runs allowed and the fewest in the Majors is 29. (Royals - 22)

Having watched it about 20 times now, I'm pretty sure the Rizzo HR was foul. It hit the flag on the foul side of the pole... Not sure what hitting the flag means, it might make it fair... But it's yet another reason to have robot umps... put a freaking camera on the foul pole, and make it certain!

I admit it seems that way from the camera angle, but I think it's absolutely impossible to tell without a camera angle directly down the line, which inexplicably doesn't exist.

Yeah, I think if there was no flag there it would have just missed the pole. Like seriously by less than 2 inches. But the flag is there, and it's not like it was blowing fully stretched out in foul territory.

I know your kidding but I actually did feel let down a bit. And then happy because I realized how awesome it is to be upset that we only won by 2 over the team with the second best record in baseball

MLB network showed a statcast of the homer (which I cannot for the life of me find online), and it looked like it may have hit the pole, even if there were no flags. Incredibly difficult to say though. Whatever was called on the field was gonna stand.

I thought it was just us but my brother-in-law texted about how annoyed he was at Wood and Grimm ruining the run differential and making the last few games look closer.
