.760 OPS on the season.

vs righties:

.305/.363/.458, 122 wRC+, 8.2 BB%, 8.8 K%.

Even got that wRC+ up to 51 vs lefties!

Will probably see his 7.9 BB% go up a little bit, especially if teams are actually kinda scared of him now.

I know it's almost a meme at this point to say "Heyward is fixed" and this may not last, but it's really great to see him figure it out, even if it's just for a stretch of a few weeks or whatever. He seems like a really great guy, and he really deserves the success.

Yeah, he seems like a genuinely good guy and a great teammate. He deserves this for sure. I hope this success will last through the regular season (and all the way to the World Series hopefully)...

And then I hope this successful campaign will make it easier for the Cubs to trade him somewhere. I have zero faith in him next season or in the last few years of this contract. I honestly think Oakland would be interested in him and they've been good trade partners with us in the past. Not sure Heyward would be willing to go there though. He'll still have a limited NTC.

Heyward looks like he's using all fields in this "figured it out" stretch, and it also looks like teams have stopped shifting on him because of it. He had a single last night that would have been an out if the shift was on.

Is the obp = ba in the last 15 games or so a concern? He seems to be attacking early in the count and having success, but no walks?

no it's not a concern

I'd like to see more pep talks/motivational speeches from him. I want Heyward to just randomly go up to strangers on the street and share some inspirational words.

He was apparently playing the last two years without hands, so they don't really look all that bad now do they?

Heyward is an above-average hitter and he's still the 10th-most valuable position player on our team.

After last night's 4 hit game he's up to .337/.376/.515 in 109 AB since coming back from the DL, good for a 138 wRC+ during that time. This small taste of what we thought we were getting when we first signed him has been a breath of fresh air, let's hope it continues

Cubs center fielder Jason Heyward was expected to miss at least the next two games after leaving Thursday's 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves because of tightness in his right hamstring, manager Joe Maddon said.

Saw a tweet yesterday (I think) that Heyward hasn’t done any sort of baseball activities yet. So he’s probably going to be out for a while still, hopefully he’s able to get a solid ~10 games in before the playoffs.
