Maybe, but only for awhile. I doubt they go 13 pitchers all season or for very long for that matter. I'm dubious that the report you're citing was anything more than speculation on the part of the reporter.

Maybe with all of the long relievers they'll switch it up, but we've been going with 13 pitchers for most of Theo's tenure here if I'm not mistaken. At this point, it appears this how he prefers to construct a roster.

With the positional flexibility of the majority of the roster and the admitted wanting to limit pitchers facing batters a 3rd time thru the order, especially Hendricks and Hammel, along with saying they want to limit Arrieta and Lester slightly more than last season, I see us carrying 13 pitchers more often than not during the season.
