    September 27, 2003 I sat in the bleachers with about 8 fraternity brothers for a double header with the Pirates. The Cubs swept the dh and the stros lost clinching the division for the Cubs. Wow, was I drunk that day

    This is fun. glad i could entertain you. there is a reason why this board has basically become a little cult of about 15-20 posters, instead of discussions it has turned into a big dick contest between a few people while others just like to rip others opinions. carry on fellas... Agreed I rarely post because of the arrogance and lack of civility on this site. Message board anonymity is the equivalent to beer muscles.

Sigh, there seem to be more and more of posts like these every week. This site used to have a much greater level of civility. It's sad how many snarky remarks or just unveiled insults I see on this site these days. I know, I know, if I don't like it don't come here right?

    to pay Zambrano's $19.25M 2013 contract if he finishes top 4 in Cy Young voting this year? I realize the chances are pretty slim but damn that would be a pisser if the cubs were on the hook for any of that.

    He's been worse than this over the course of weeks before and come back to post really solid numbers. It's amazing how many people are throwing dirt on him after 20 or so games. I'm also considering his most recent season, the fact that he's a below average receiver and there are two catchers that look big-league ready sitting on the bench right now.

    3 on the 40 man rosters: Junior Lake, Deunte Heath and Donnie Veal Veal is back in the cub's system? This is the pitcher that was doing well about 6-7 years ago and his brother got shot or something right? Could have sworn I saw him in the bigs for the Pirates or some other shitty team. Obviously I don't care enough to google it so feel free to not answer

    You know what makes for more posts? Posting more. Wood with a really nice start to the inning. I'm averaging a post per 1 minute since I've logged in - doing my part to get the post count up. Of course if you're a quality over quantity guy I'm not helping much at this point.

    Just logged on and I see it's the 8th inning and there are 4 pages of game thread. You'd think this was spring training. This site will be dead all year (relatively speaking)
