So lets recap, 38 games as starter this year...

.798 for Russell = SSS/Meaningles/Shouldn't be on the team let alone start

.728 for Wieters = He's better than Molina and should start

Is Wieters a wife beater who doesn’t remember his team’s signs?

Do you think Russell has a separate, superior offensive skill set that he only breaks out when he starts?

His 2019 OPS is .733. He sucks. Stop saying otherwise.

Young players tend to be bad off the bench which is a hard role for most players, and he made a bunch of outs as PH when he was dealing with the hand injury.

Ahh hmm shoot good point. It’s a shame we don’t have any other recent years of PA’s from him to add to the sample size so we’d have more accurate statistics to base his performance off of.

“Young player”

Hey, look, when you've accumulated 588 games of increasingly middling professional baseball and you're "only" 25, it's like they don't even count at all!

2138 major league plate appearances is pretty average for a young player like Russell. He’s really barely gotten his feet wet.

Look at him, he's just like a kid out there!

Young players like Russell struggle off the bench.

For example, Russell’s career OPS off the bench is .727, compared to his career OPS as a starter of *checks notes* .706

Lord, this asshat has topped out with an OPS of .738, and has twice finished a season with an OPS under .700. But sure, it's coming of the bench where he REALLY struggles.

Molina comes back and catches a 4 hit shut-out and then Flaherty goes right into talking about having Molina back in the post game on the field.

All I can think of when I read this post is that I should really add a wanking emoji.

His last 7 starts before tonight he had a .96 ERA, low 2 FIP, low 3 xFIP, 34% K rate, 7% BB rate, and 19 hits in 38 innings. Find a new slant jack ass.

And yet he went right into talking about Molina

He almost no hit the Cubs with Wieters catching him who also hit a 3 run homer to ensure the rest of the game was minimum stress.

You are talking about the road Cubs

Go take a look at the Royals home record and the Cubs road record.

Interesting that you didn't mention how he shutout the best team in the NL over 7 innings and struck out 10 in his last start. Oh and Wieters caught that one too.
