Terry Boers announced his retirement effective 1/5. Sure sounds like the dude is dying based on how emotional his announcement was.

 

Terry loves the show, he's always said how much it means to him and how it's the best thing he's ever done with his life. I wouldn't assume the worst, but it's certainly not good.

Yeah he had a second surgery like a week after his first return and was out until this Monday.

I wonder if they'll stay in house to replace him. Holmes seems like the perfect fit, imo...but management seems to like him as a "super sub".

 

Or they could maybe move Goff?

Yeah but they still use Holmes to sub in on various shows, and his own show is in the evenings...when the audience is far less. Drive time is the prime slot.

 

I'm gonna guess Goff to pair with Bernstein and Rosner to pair with Spiegel.

Holmes won't be very argumentative imo. I think him and Bernstein have pretty good rapport from their crosstalks.

Yeah they won't say. At first they said it wasn't serious, but yesterday Terry said he didn't know what exactly was wrong with him. It definitely is something involving his throat or that general area.

Yeah, pretty much this. Boers has mailed it in the last few years, but you can tell he's actually a likable guy whenever he's either not on with Bernstein or if he's writing a column on 670. Really sad news.
