I haven't finished this, but the beginning was pretty interesting. Mariners is such a better team name over the super lame "Pilots".

It's amazing and worth watching all glorious 3 hours and 40 minutes worth

Shocker where the first negative reply came from:

Yup. Easily the worst fanbase in baseball.

At least he didn't mention some "BlueLivesMatter" [expletive] or something like that.

Unlikely-mlb-players-who-owned-hall-of-famers

Mlb.com had the above article published today and couldn't help but think former Cub Gary Woods deserved a mention. Woods batted .348 (16-for-46) lifetime against Hall of Fame left-hander Steve Carlton. Woods was a career back-up but whenever Carlton was on the mound you knew Woods was going to start. Woods hit over 100 pts higher against Carlton than he did the rest of the league.

"You're going to look back in 30-40 years and say there was only one Shoshei Ohtani"

I feel like this is true but not in the way the author maybe meant. I think it's going to be true in a Glenallen Hill, Rob Deer, Aroldis Chapman, Dwight Gooden, even Kerry Wood kind of way rather than a Barry Bonds, Mike Trout, Nolan Ryan kind of way. I don't think his crazy skills will translate into counting stat greatness or even a long enough period of rate-stat greatness for history to take notice.

Like I'll be sitting in my hovering rocking chair sipping on imitation iced tea supplement 42 and I'll start jabbering about Shoshei Ohtani. My grandkids will stick their heads out of the hatch of their sensory immersion game cube (trademark) buried in the floor and say, "who?", and my son will say, "honey, time to give the old man his morphine/propofol patch. He's babbling again". I'll fade off into a hallucination of my personal field of dreams as I crap myself.

Isnt that kind of what you do now?

Good for Votto here, but I'm kinda getting sick of white players across various sports just coming out now saying they get it and now support the BLM movement and the protests happening across the country. Why didn't you listen to your African-American teammates years ago? What changed?

Did one graphic video really make that profound a difference? Their willful ignorance all these years pisses me off.

That's your takeaway from the piece?

I said "Good for Votto here" ...

You're so dumb... I know reading comprehension is hard, but please try to do it.

I'm talking about other white players. Votto is a good dude and known as a good teammate. Good with the media and gives thoughtful answers. I believe Votto and what he writes, and his sincerity.

And the owners counter with 32 games that the players play for minimum wage, 2 teams make the playoffs, and they can change that whenever they want. WHY ARE THE PLAYERS TRYING TO KILL BASEBALL?!?!?!?!
