Vance Vizcaino? David Masters? Jerrick Suiter? Who the horsefeathers are these guys? Did the I Cubs put up a help wanted sign at a Country Kitchen? And Corey Black? Hasn’t he been out of baseball for like 5 years?

Kind of crazy that Mitchell and Galindo are still around, and that it was 5-6 years since adding them. Galindo has been touted as a power guy for some time; he's yet to hit 10 HR in a season. A little note in a CubReporter observation doesn't mean much, for sure. But a little discouraging when outstanding guys are journeyman A-ballers.

After reading MLB's list yesterday I'm really curious to see how the rotations play out in the lower levels:

- Do any of Cruz/Gallardo/Estrada open the year in SB?

- Do any of Jensen/McAvene/Clarke open the year in MB?

- Whither Jose Albertos?

- Was 5 dominant starts enough to show that Brailyn is too good for High A?

I feel like the position player group is fairly set save for the guys on the Eugene/South Bend bubble like Verdugo, but there's a lot of possibilities on the SP side.

I’m very interested in the pitching placements. I do wonder if they’re a bit more aggressive with Marquez.

Unfortunately Jeremiah Estrada had TJS surgery last August.

Ah, good call on Estrada!

I think Gallardo's best chance at meaningful South Bend innings this year is to wait for injuries or promotion in May/June and get bumped up from Extended ST. For both him and Cruz, I think it really depends on where last year's college picks start.

Arizona Phil[/url]"]2019 DSL Cubs SS Rafael Morel (Christopher's younger brother) and OF Yohendrick Pinango will be at Minor League Camp. They were the Cubs top two prospects in the DSL last season.

"Minor league baseball team cancels 'OJ Trial Night' following backlash"

https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/minor-league-baseball-team-cancels-oj-trial-night-following-backlash/

The trial of the century gets a juicy new spin. We will finally receive the verdict that everyone has been waiting for … pulp or no pulp?.

Fans will act as our jury, voting with custom paddles to reach verdicts on various topics throughout the night. The eyes of the nation will be upon us. Fans will receive an "OJ Trial" shirt upon entering the stadium. If the shirt don't fit, you must … see if we have a different size.

I've been wondering about this. I wonder if crowd sizes might be small enough that this is reasonable by the summer even if MLB isn't? And if not, do we see some sort of late/extended AFL or Instructional league?
