I am not arguing that MSU should be ranked higher than 7....but why does it look like they are the only team that gets punished for not being "impressive" enough? But it makes no difference, beat Michigan and they are okay. If not, Citrus Bowl bound

Well OSU is your sorta twin with underwhelming wins. They are still #1 but their votes are slipping. I think they get the benefit of doubt due to being defending champs fair or not.

Also TCU also dropped last week (albeit 1 spot) after a couple of very unimpressive wins.

On a side note: who would have thought a month ago that Michigan would be 7 point favorites over Sparty in this one?

no kidding. And I would put my money on Michigan at this point. Dantonio has done a great job getting the Spartans up for Michigan. Maybe there is something in them that they haven't shown yet.

So USC coach Steve Sarkisian has been placed on indefinite leave, likely for the rest of the season. Reading between the lines of reports, it sounds like he showed up to work piss drunk today. Alcohol problem has resurfaced

Ohio State is the only other team in a similar boat and they at least have a couple of semi dominating performances. MSU has none of those. They've played exactly nobody so far, and their only good win, the reason they shot up the polls to begin with, is being devalued by the week. They're lucky they're as high as they are, Florida and A&M should be ahead of them.

This is where Florida collapses and Mizzou rises to take the East again.

jk we can't score more than 5 points in a game even if the defense gets a touchdown

Alabama's DLine scares me. The A&M OLine has been surprisingly mediocre, although they looked better against Mississippi State. I think that will be the key to the game. Back-up QB Kyler Kurray may play his biggest role of the year in this game. We all know how Saban struggles to contain mobile QB's and Murray can run like Manziel (maybe even faster). We've used him as a change of pace from Kyle Allen a few times this year when the offense was struggling.

Even if we assume USC doesn't circle the wagons and come together to play the game of their lives against ND this weekend, the Irish could get to 10-1 and have their best 2 wins be Temple and Navy. They're playing for a New Year's 6 bowl at this point, essentially no chance at the playoff unless maybe they beat a 10-1 Stanford by 40 points the last week of the season. [expletive] Clemson game.

Iowa is undefeated, 17th in the country and playing a game that gives them an incredibly good shot at winning the division and if the Cubs can win one of their next two games I don't think I'll care.

Doesn't Iowa lose @ NU even when NU sucks, anyway?

Health issues for HBC or has he just had enough?

Just had enough is my guess. I get the sense that he really dislikes the team he has had the last few years. A lot of that is probably on him. 17 year old recruits don't care about the name Spurrier and how relatable could a 70 year old man be anyways?

That's Wisconsin.

Can't recruit anymore, also who would be certain a 75yo coach would be when you're a senior?
