Do they also use those stupid towels in the playoffs or is that only a Steelers thing?

Looks like they have their own terrible version

Doesn't everyone do that? I have them from the Giants.

Most do. Meant it as a version of the terrible towel the steelers use

Jeremy Affeldt kind of implying Jake won't be able to handle the pressure.

Based on what exactly?

Talked about how how Mad Bum shut them down and silenced out the crowd and how he was nervous and glad that he didn't have to pitch and that they jumped out to a big lead. Then said Jake wouldn't get it done and the Pirates would win.

So based on nothing, then.

No matter what happens, this has been a miracle season.

I love you all.

Same here. But we're winning.

Apropos of nothing, has a team ever pulled a starting pitcher "switch-a-roo" in a critical game like this? Let's say for example, the Pirates started warming Liriano up immediately after lineups were exchanged and brought him in after the first inning. Then the Cubs would be forced to either stick with their left-handed lineup against the lefty, or replace and lose a few of those hitters early in the game. I know it's stupid, but it seems like it could be an effective strategy in some scenarios.

Go Cubs! Off to my easy chair to prepare for this game. Please make my postgame cocktails be because I'm celebrating and for no other reason. Thanks!

Win or lose give us some damn moments to remember fondly. The last 2 playoffs a couple of early game HRs from Soto and DeRosa and that's it

lol - Kapman picks McCutcheon and Rizzo as the potential impact players in this game.

Deep analysis there.
