I'm an idiot. Does the whole Maddon quote about not starting it but ending it imply they would "retaliate" if it continued or that they would "end it" by not doing anything back?

The latter.

I read it as "If you #%*# with us, we will bean and dong your asses into submission."

The latter.

That's what I assumed too, but some people were trying to claim otherwise.

It's weird having a manager that looks and notices the pitcher has reverse splits instead of being a slave to R-L.

It also just struck me that with Maddon as manager, I'd love to see rosters expanded throughout the entire year. I think he'd use that flexibility better than any other manager in baseball. It's cool to think we'll have an advantage every september, even if it is pretty small.

I love Joe so much. I had to unfollow Matthew Trueblood on twitter because he's a doofus and insists on having "A better tactician, though certainly not a better manager, than Joe Maddon." in his twitter bio.

I wonder how he's going to run the playoff roster. I didn't pay much attention to his moves in Tampa, and they did have the DH, so it might not matter anyway. I just wonder how he's going to balance Bryant (3B/OF), Coghlan, Baez, Castro, Russell, Soler (does he even get a spot?), and the bullpen. Makes me think he won't keep 19 bullpen arms the way he has dominated with his bat flexibility this month.

That guy is [expletive] awful. I added all the Wrigleyville guys when that started, but they've all been dropped after realizing they're idiots.(other than Watt, who's readable at least to me.)
