Votto is a great hitter who is in an unbelievable stretch and is hitting in fantastic conditions.

 

He also shouldn't have been up.

 

Rondon is a great pitcher, and it sucks that he threw a bad one that was crushed, but considering how good hes been for us you can't be mad at him.

 

Likewise for Bryant who just freaking tied the game. Like if he didn't hit that HR none of this would be frustrating.

The fact is that when you give the opponent a gift, don't give it to one of the game's best hitters, especially against us. Not taking anything away from Beandon Phillips, but given the situation, I'd have taken my chances against him.
