Id love to see if there's any evidence that facing elite starters on consecutive days can throw a team off and put the offense into a slump.

 

In June the Cubs were a few days away from winning 17-0, and just scored 8 runs against the twins and then faced Kershaw and Greinke and then scored 9 runs in their next 7 games and was in an offensive funk for the next 5-6 weeks.

 

I'm sure it's a meatball theory but damn if we aren't seeing the offense slump since facing Bumgarner and Kershaw
