Texas is not the South by any stretch, but whatever.

It's not the [expletive] north

That's like saying if the game was in Kansas City it's like a home game for Wiscy. Just stop it.

And shame on you for making me defend Bama.

Also, Auburn is not a top 10 team. No effing way.

Last I checked Texas left the US during the Civil War.

Agree with you that Auburn is currently overrated.

The point is that Saban refuses to do home and home series with Power 5 teams. He's a giant [expletive] who will only play "neutral field" games where he travels shorter distances than his opponent and he'll have more friendly fans than his opponent

Jesus that is dumb. Texas is in the south.

Holy Crap Penn State is abysmal

Yep. Gonna get crushed this year. Somehow the team went 8-4 the first year of the sanctions, and have gotten worse every year since. James Franklin hasn't impressed me a bit

This is when you would expect recruiting sanctions to start having an effect.

Thanks New Jersey, but Texas is not the South. Next you'll tell me Rutgers is in the Midwest.

Holy [expletive], the Badgers just got hosed on that penalty.

Glad the rest of the country can see the caliber of bullcrap calls that Bama gets constantly. It's uncanny.

Yep.

Nice game today by you guys, even if the opponent sucked. I'm now back to being concerned about Ole Miss.

Oh, he's doing the whole "cultural south" vs. "geographical south" thing where people from Georgia/Alabama/Mississippi/Louisiana/Arkansas thumb their noses at Texas

LOL if he's doing that then Arkansas isn't in the South either.

Good to see that southern education living up to expectations. I'd like to say you can be in the south without being from the south but I'd hate to compliment Texans like that.

The only good thing about today's game was this fat ass kicker

Look at the size of that belly button

Lighten up Francis. You know nothing about me or my education.

My point is that Texas being the venue is at best a tiny advantage for traveling Bama fans, and certainly not as big a deal as you made it out to be.

A completely separate cultural argument, but Texas does not fit into any definition of the South, any more than we'd consider Kentucky to be a Northern state. It's all splitting hairs, but if you want to make this prove a point about stereotypical dumb Southerners (fantastic irony) then so be it.

The sheer stupidity of this assertion is what is getting you into trouble here.

WTF is Arkansas if not in the South?

You should have also bolded the first part of that sentence, maybe.

Jesus H, enough already.

Saying Texas doesn't fit into any definition of the South, when it fits into nearly every definition of the South, is just plain cultural ignorance.

It's going to be really hard for me to remain cynical about ND if they keep doing things like this. (Also, holy cow, Texas is bad.)

Genuinely asking, but what part of the country were you raised and where do you live now?
