Wisler was a top 50 prospect coming into the season but he's kinda sucked this year. Also he's facing the Cubs so, ya know.

77 to go.

Am I missing something with this 77 to go thing? 41 games left in the season, Max playoff games is 20

I like to watch SportsTalkLive segments on csnchicago.com when things are going well to hear what those losers have to say after they mostly thought the Cubs wouldn't be that good before the season...anyway, apparently after Hammel's most recent start, they debated if it would be his last of the season. wtf? Even some of the people on this board haven't reacted that way to his recent struggles.

Hammel gonna come out strong and punch the meatballs right in the teeth.

Cubs win, 7-2.

And even if he doesn't, we're going to light Wisler up anyway.

I firmly believe the Giants will win the West. They're just better than LA. That said, I'm definitely done worrying about them catching us. Go Giants.

In what way are they better? Dodgers have a better OPS (best OBP in the NL & higher SLG than Giants also). The Dodgers have better pitching, especially starting pitching. The Dodgers are also the best defensive team in the league in terms of fielding % and fewest errors.

This sucks. Because the Cardinals are more focused on the Pirates and vice versa and the Giants more focused on the Dodgers, there are no salty reactions about the Cubs winning on any of their forums.

Fred or anyone else..Do you know Russell's numbers since he moved to SS full time? Seems like the Doubles and Homers are jumping of his bat now.

As a SS overall, he's hitting (22-69) .319/.342/.609 for a .951 OPS. Since becoming the everyday SS, he is 16-48, with 5 doubles, 2 HRs, 2 BBs, and 9 Ks (.333/.360/.563).

I think it's largely coincidental(his bat was ticking up anyway), but since moving to SS:

14 games, 53 PA, .333/.365/.604/.970, 5 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR
