Impossible to make comebacks when you give runs right back. I know our pen isn't bad, but on a night like this when you gotta use the 2nd tier guys, it's just too difficult.

 

Yeah it's hard when you go through a 12 game stretch when your starters don't even average 5 innings pitched. Bullpen has to be a bit gassed. At least our top relievers are getting some rest due to the rest of the pitching staff failing

As stupid you guys make me out to be, I've made enough money so far this season on draft kings to pay for my vacation to Japan this winter. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe way of thinking/looking at things is a little different than most. Either way I'm just being real. If a cubby plays bad I'll talk about it. If they play good I'll talk about it. I'm not gonna sit here and ignore bad playing for the sake of hoping they do good. Reality is that everything has positives and negatives, it is what it is.

It is well past time for Motte to go back to mop-up duty only.

 

Coming in down 3 runs in the 7th is pretty close to a mop up role. If you can't even feel good about putting a reliever in that scenario, his roster spot is undeserved

Perhaps so, but we're less than 2 weeks from September so I don't imagine they will make any moves with him. He will just see less time once the AAA reinforcements come up.
