The Cubs were 51-46 three weeks ago.

It's crazy because I knew the rookies would be good, I just didn't think they'd be this good, this fast. And when none of them were hitting, I figured they would all eventually hit, but I was as skeptical as anyone. Everything has gone pretty well so far. If you'd told me that Castro would be terrible, Baez would not even see the majors, and Soler had only 5 HRs....I'd thought this season was a disaster. But the offensive slump coincided with the starting pitching being lights out. Arrieta is still da Gawd, but the Cubs have more than survived lackluster starts from Hammel, Hendricks, Hammel, Richard, and Beeler, now that the offense has turned it up.

This is it, this is the game. I don't want to make too much of it, but if they win their 10th straight with Haren beating Sale on the road, then the Cubs will probably never lose again for the rest of our lives.

Was thinking the exact same thing. If effing Haren beats Sale tomorrow...holy god I wish I could be at Wrigley next week.

Rawaction this is the reason i was so pessimistic about this year (be sellers, etc.) i assumed due to the learning curve we would be good but not good enough.... but these past couple weeks... we can see how good this team can be. One thing that blew me away is the Score had Cal Ripken on and he said he hasn't seen a team like this since the Big Red Machine... THE FKN Big red machine! His reasoning was because of the home grown talent that will be around for a long time... but who is our Pete Rose?

If they win this game I will be totally invested in the Cubs.

You're not already?

Thank god we have Haren going because I really don't want to know what that would entail
