After seeing what the Astros gave up to the Brewers for a potential one game playoff, I am happy Theo is standing pat.

And neither of those guys are rentals. And other than the one outfielder, was the package really that great?

So basically as Rizzo goes, so does the offense.

That would be a nice little sendoff for Castro if this indeed his last game as a Cub.

I feel like all the Cubs that come up start off red hot and then go through a slump because it takes like 2 months for our coaches to figure out adjustments

pretty hard to disagree with that

No it isn't.

But that was a damn nice win.

Lol @ the Rockies running Axford back out there up 8-6 and it's now 8-8 with the bases loaded 0 out for Yadier.

Usual [expletive] of them deciding to score runs the one [expletive] time they ever give up any, but what they do doesn't really matter anymore.

I was at this game tonight and it was the most Cardinal game ever. I also had the poster child of the BFIBs sitting in front of me too. At the game by himself, talking loudly to no one in particular, utterly socially unaware, overweight, and smelled like a wet dog, which I'm fairly certain stemmed from the disgusting 20+ year old jersey thing he was wearing. It was gross. My daughter and I got up and moved after a couple innings of his idiocy.

I actually had some pretty good people around me tonight, but some guy behind me (and I'm not sure if he was a Brewers fan or Cubs fan) kept yelling at Castro every time he came up to bat, "Sori-ano! Sori-ano!" in what seemed to be a derisive fashion. I have now idea why...

Umm. The Astros lead their division.

Yeah, but they don't know that 2016 is when they are supposed to start trying.

The Astros are fighting for a division, the Cubs are fighting for a fluke 1 game playoff against a team they'll probably lose too. Kind of a big difference between those two.
