For [expletive]'s sake, how about a [expletive] sacrifice fly? Is there any way to track our putridity with man on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Seems like every [expletive] time it's a Castro DP, Ross/Pitcher K, or some odd thing from Rizzo.

Home Run Derby broke Bryant and Rizzo

Yeah they shoulda listened to Joe Maddon he said something about advising against it, but he left the choice up to them.

Both were already in the midst of some suckage before the Derby, although I'm sure that didn't help.

dammit Rizzo get your [expletive] together

He smoked that ball.

Sorry I'm not watching

Yeah, hard hit up the middle, but right into the shift.

Because we're not allowed to have seeing eye-singles or bloop doubles or the like. Even Coghlan's single should have been up the middle. Deflected off Leake and right to Frazier and was just barely safe.

You know, selection bias and everything, but I've never seen a team be more punished for hard contact than the Cubs have all year.

Why would swinging the bat ~200 times with a home run swing all the sudden break a hitters mechanics?
