Dallas Keuchel is really good. If you want to complain, look at Kluber not getting taken while Brad Boxberger did.

I get that Keuchel is really good. I also get that Chris Sale is better and a hell of a lot more fun to watch pitch. And Kluber got robbed.

Are you upset about the all star game lineup?

Uh-oh, too many emotions for Jersey's liking.

I mean, the AUDACITY of someone talking about the ASG lineup in the ASG thread.

Ease up, grumpypants.

He's getting worked up about who is the starting pitcher for the AL. That is silly.

Yeah, within the context of the ASG thread, plus compared to the meatballs who actually get worked up in the real game threads it was a mild passing comment at best. Who cares.

The starting pitcher usually goes 2 innings while most of the other pitchers go 1 inning. The White Sox didn't even want Sale to play in the game, but gave in. I'm assuming as compromise they will limit Sale to 1 inning thus coming in relief.

Keuchel has a 1.3 lead in bWAR, trails fWAR by 0.7. It's really not egregious.

It's my opinion that Sale is better and more fun to watch than Keuchel. The numbers are split. Don't really think I'm worked up, just stating my thoughts. Then again, Yost is far more into having a dominant bullpen, so maybe his decision makes more sense in that context. Whatever. Either way, no one cares.

Go NL!

So, back to the "this time it counts" idea. I don't think it's THAT big of a deal who has home field in a 7 game series, but even smart people like Joe Sheehan (on his recent Twitter Q&A) have said that "the league needs to know in advance" who has home field advantage. How is that even possible? They don't even know the damn teams until like 3 days before the WS starts. So, if it's, say Tampa vs. Seattle and Mets vs. Dodgers in the LCS's, why does it benefit MLB to know if it's the NL or AL has home field advantage? There's no way to control the weather or whatever. The NBA and NHL don't know until 3 days before. I seriously don't [expletive] understand why this is an issue? Am I missing something obvious?

Sounds like he might be a robot.

I'm rooting for a rainout just cuz I wanna see what happens.

I heard Manfred say on Mike and Mike this morning that the game would be played tomorrow night in the event of a rainout. It's part of the reason why they added another off day on Thursday for all teams a few years ago, so they had a contingency in the event of a rainout.

No, it's a [expletive] terrible explanation.

The logistics of that have to be crazy.

Then I hope it gets rained out both nights.

It's dumb that the ASG decides WS home field, but it was reallllly [expletive] dumb that it just switched between the leagues before.
